Hon. Mukunji Inspects St. Joseph’s Mtetu Secondary School and Commits Support to Farming Program
This afternoon, Hon. Gitonga Mukunji conducted an insightful tour of St. Joseph’s Mtetu Secondary School in Gaturi South ward. The visit aimed to inspect the school’s facilities and initiatives, particularly the newly introduced farming program on the 19-acre land dedicated to enhancing the students’ feeding program.
During the visit, Hon. Mukunji expressed his support for the farming initiative, emphasizing its importance in providing nutritious meals for the students and fostering practical agricultural skills. “This farming program not only addresses food security but also empowers our students with essential skills that can benefit them in the future,” he stated.
The engagement also included productive discussions with the school Board of Management (BOM), teachers, and students on strategies to enhance academic performance. Ideas exchanged during the meeting focused on innovative teaching methods and increased resource allocation to create a more conducive learning environment.
Hon. Mukunji reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the school receives the necessary support to thrive and deliver quality education to its students.
