NG-CDF Manyatta Commissions Two-Storey Building at Divine Mercy Secondary School, Rugumu!
We are proud to announce the successful commissioning of a newly constructed two-storey building at Divine Mercy Secondary School, Rugumu, a project funded by NG-CDF Manyatta under the patronage of MP John Gitonga Mukunji. This modern facility, which includes a staffroom and a laboratory, marks a significant milestone in the school’s development, greatly enhancing the learning environment for both students and teachers.
A Modern Space for Staff and Students:
With the completion of this new building, the teachers and staff will now move from their previous wooden offices into a spacious, well-equipped facility that will support their professional needs. The addition of a state-of-the-art laboratory will provide students with hands-on learning experiences in science subjects, boosting their academic performance and preparing them for future careers in the sciences.
A Nostalgic Visit:
For MP John Gitonga Mukunji, the visit to Divine Mercy Secondary School was particularly nostalgic, as it brought back memories of his time in primary school at the same location. Reflecting on the school’s role in shaping his path, he expressed his joy at being able to give back and support the continued growth of the institution that played a crucial role in his own development.
Future Renovations and Upgrades:
In addition to the newly completed two-storey building, we are excited to announce that funds have been allocated for further renovations at Divine Mercy Secondary School. These upgrades will include:
- Installation of ceramic tiles for durability and aesthetic enhancement.
- Replacement of iron sheets to improve the safety and durability of the school’s infrastructure.
- Painting and plastering to refresh the school’s appearance and create a more vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
- Purchase of new desks, ensuring that students have comfortable and functional seating for their studies.
Investing in Education:
This project is part of NG-CDF Manyatta’s ongoing commitment to improving educational facilities across the constituency. By creating modern, well-equipped spaces for both learning and teaching, we are ensuring that our students have the best possible environment to excel academically and that teachers are supported in their vital role.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the principal, teachers, and the community of Divine Mercy Secondary School for their continued dedication to the students’ success. Special thanks go to MP John Gitonga Mukunji for his visionary leadership and unwavering support for education in Manyatta.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to enhancing educational infrastructure throughout the constituency, ensuring that every school is equipped to provide students with the resources they need to succeed.
