NG-CDF Manyatta: Improving Sanitation in Our Schools
We are pleased to announce the ongoing efforts by NG-CDF Manyatta to improve sanitation across schools in the constituency. One of the key projects currently underway is the construction of ablution blocks at Njukiri Primary School, designed for both boys and girls, with special provisions made for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs). This initiative is part of a larger commitment to enhance hygiene standards and ensure that all students have access to clean, safe, and inclusive sanitation facilities.
Project Overview:
At Njukiri Primary School, the new ablution blocks will be modern and accessible, featuring:
- Separate sections for boys and girls to ensure privacy and comfort.
- Dedicated facilities for Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), ensuring that all students have access to appropriate sanitation that meets their needs.
- Improved hygiene standards with the installation of proper handwashing stations to promote cleanliness and health.
Ongoing Sanitation Projects:
In addition to Njukiri Primary, similar sanitation projects are ongoing in several other schools across Manyatta. These schools include:
- Kathuniri Primary School
- Gatunduri Primary School
- Rukira Primary School
- Kihumbu Primary School
- Kimangaru Primary School
- Tende Primary School
- Mbukori Primary School
- Mukangu Secondary School
- Kagumori Primary School
- Kigari Primary School
These projects are aimed at addressing the urgent need for improved sanitation facilities, ensuring that students have access to safe, clean, and well-maintained restrooms. This not only promotes health and hygiene but also fosters a better learning environment by eliminating distractions related to inadequate facilities.
Promoting Health and Dignity:
Sanitation is a critical aspect of student well-being and academic success. By improving the infrastructure in our schools, we are ensuring that all students, including those with disabilities, can attend school with dignity and comfort. Clean and accessible ablution blocks are essential for promoting good hygiene practices, preventing the spread of disease, and ensuring that students remain healthy and focused on their studies.
Acknowledgments:
We extend our gratitude to the NG-CDF Manyatta, local leaders, school administrators, and the community for their continued support in making these projects possible. These improvements are part of a broader initiative to uplift education infrastructure across the constituency and provide a healthier, more supportive environment for our children.
Thank you to everyone involved in these vital projects! Together, we are creating a brighter, healthier future for our students.
