Hon. Gitonga Mukunji recently conducted public participation forums alongside the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) for two significant road projects in Kirimari Ward. The first project involves the tarmacking of KRA–Elsols Road in Majengo, and the second is the KWS–Mama Ngina Street Road. These forums provided stakeholders, including local residents and business owners, the opportunity to share recommendations, which included requests for a proper drainage system and pedestrian walkways to enhance road safety and manage water flow effectively.

During the discussions, Hon. Ibrahim Swaleh, the MCA for Kirimari Ward, also contributed valuable insights on both projects, reflecting the community’s interests in these infrastructure improvements. KURA has established public engagement as a core part of its project planning to ensure that road developments meet local needs and adhere to sustainable urban planning practices. This approach supports transparent project management and active community involvement, contributing to the successful planning of urban infrastructure upgrades in the area.
