Hon. Gitonga Mukunji, Member of Parliament for Manyatta Constituency, joined family, friends, and members of the community at Manyatta Catholic Church to celebrate the life and legacy of Mzee James Kamwithi Kamocere, the beloved father of journalist Kari Kamwithi.

Speaking at the funeral service held in Ruguru Ngandori Ward, Hon. Mukunji described Mzee Kamwithi as a pillar of faith and integrity, whose commitment to his family and the Church was admirable and enduring.

“Mzee Kamwithi will be remembered as a devout Catholic, a hardworking family man, and a respected elder in the community. His life was a testimony of humility, discipline, and dedication to service,” Hon. Mukunji said.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Kamwithi family, praying for God’s comfort and strength during this time of grief.

“May God grant peace to the grieving family and bless them with the courage to face this difficult moment. We mourn with you and celebrate a life well lived.”

The funeral drew members of the clergy, media fraternity, community leaders, and relatives who came together to honor Mzee Kamwithi’s memory and offer their support to the bereaved family.
