RENOVATION WORKS AT KIBUGU PRIMARY SCHOOL GAIN MOMENTUM IN NGINDA WARD
December 2025 — Embu County:
In a continued effort to improve learning conditions across Nginda Ward, the renovation of classrooms at Kibugu Primary School is progressing steadily, marking a significant step toward enhancing the school’s infrastructure and overall academic environment.
The ongoing works, spearheaded under the development agenda of local leadership, reflect a renewed commitment to ensuring that learners study in safe, modern, and dignified spaces. The project includes the replacement of old iron sheets, installation of new windows and doors, as well as tiling and painting of several classrooms that had deteriorated over the years.
According to school officials and contractors on site, the renovations have already begun to transform the appearance and functionality of the learning spaces. Previously worn-out roofs that posed safety risks are being replaced with durable iron sheets, addressing long-standing leakage issues that disrupted lessons during the rainy season. The installation of new windows and doors is also expected to improve ventilation, security, and general classroom comfort.
The tiling and painting works, once completed, will give the school a fresh and vibrant look—creating an environment that motivates learners and encourages teachers to deliver their best. Parents and community members have welcomed the project, terming it a timely and much-needed investment in the future of their children.
Local leaders reiterated that education remains a priority, and the ongoing renovations symbolize their commitment to uplifting public institutions through sustainable development. They emphasized that similar modernization efforts will continue in other schools within Nginda Ward to ensure equitable access to quality learning facilities.
As Kibugu Primary School moves closer to the completion of this transformation, optimism remains high that the improved infrastructure will boost academic performance, enhance learner morale, and support the school’s long-term growth.
